As a psychotherapist (Registered Social Worker)  I work with individuals, couples and families.  My formal education includes certification as a Gestalt Therapist (2000), a Parent Educator,  and a Registered Nurse (1974) with a Masters  Environmental Studies Degree in Workplace Health (1981).

I have spent three decades involved in the promotion of health, safety and the wellbeing of individuals, couples and families and other groups. I have worked in health care, health promotion and counselling in a variety of capacities and settings since 1972, including hospitals, schools, universities, the community, offices and industrial settings.

For the past 11 years I have worked with individuals, couples and families addressing the many challenges people experience in their personal and professional lives including family conflict, parenting challenges, social anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, couple/marital conflict, separation and divorce, blended families, career shifts, procrastination, low self esteem, and workplace conflict.

My formal education in health, Gestalt psychotherapy, mediation,  and my own experience of family life and career development  as well as my personal spiritual development have influenced my approach and style of counselling.

I have tremendous faith in the resiliency of the human spirit  and the capacity for greater awareness, which can lead to making choices with courage and resultant change. My strength  as a psychotherapist arises from my  intuitive and practical approach to life's challenges.
